14th July 2025

●Pan German Motors officially launched the new model year BMW i5 sedan. The trims and suggested retail prices are eDrive40 M Sport (starting from NT$3.29 million) and M60 xDrive (starting from NT$4.85 million).

●Pan German Motors officially launched the new model year BMW i5 Touring. The trims and suggested retail prices are eDrive40 M Sport (starting from NT$3.39 million) and M60 xDrive (starting from NT$4.95 million).

●GAC Fiat Chrysler, Stellantis Group’s joint venture in mainland China, has declared bankruptcy.

●The amendment to Article 12 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act, which was passed by the Legislative Yuan in May this year and scheduled to take effect on 15th July, set a fine of NT$72,000 for using fake license plates. However, on 14th July, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced that implementation would be postponed due to incomplete preparations, and no new effective date has been announced yet.

●A fire broke out at Taiwan Cement Corporation's subsidiary Molie Quantum Energy’s super battery factory in Xiaogang District, Kaohsiung City—the first of its kind in Taiwan.

●Continental Tires officially launched the UltraContact UX7 and ExtremeContact XC7 tires.

●Li Wenguang, President of Huawei Intelligent Driving, stated that the company plans to commercialize SAE Level 4 autonomous driving operations by 2027 and begin pilot testing for unmanned trunk logistics.

●Global electric vehicle sales surpassed 9 million units for the first time in the first half of this year.

16th July 2025

●Eun Choong Kim, President of Mercedes-Benz Taiwan, stated that import tariffs should not favor a single country or place of origin to avoid discriminatory treatment, aligning with WTO principles.

●TSMC's second factory in Kumamoto, Japan, is scheduled to begin construction in the second half of this year.

17th July 2025

●EVOASIS announced a partnership with Carplus Rental. Customers can now reserve and rent a Volvo EX40 via LINE GO or the Carplus Go Smart App at six EVOASIS charging stations (NTU Parking Lot in Taipei, Sanchong Sanxin Super Oasis in New Taipei, Qingpu Super Oasis in Taoyuan, Beitun Super Oasis in Taichung, Qianzhen Super Oasis and Qinghai Super Oasis in Kaohsiung).

●Motor Image Taiwan began pre-orders for the all-new sixth-generation Subaru Forester. The trims and tentative prices are: i-L EyeSight (starting from NT$1.358 million), i-S EyeSight (starting from NT$1.398 million), and SHEV i-S EyeSight (starting from NT$1.598 million).
