27th November 2023

●Yulon Nissan revealed the 2024 calendar that the Nissan Ariya pure electric SUV appeared for the first time, which implies it will be introduced in 2024.

●Thomas Schäfer, the CEO of Volkswagen, pointed out that car models of Volkswagen are lack of competitiveness due to high costs and low productivities, therefore the 10 billion cost-cutting scheme including layoffs will be implemented.

●Modena Motori Taiwan introduced the Maserati Levante GT Performance, and the MSRP starts from NT$ 4,580,000.

●MIH Consortium announced to be showcasing at CES 2024 to introduce its People Mover and Goods Mover solutions. MIH Consortium is collaborating with an impressive lineup of co-exhibitors: automotive software giant BlackBerry Limited with its BlackBerry® QNX® and BlackBerry IVY® technologies, trailblazing commercial electric vehicle (EV) startup B–ON, mobility-centric cybersecurity startup C2A Security, and display technology leader GIS. This joint effort is bringing forth innovative solutions for smart cities, including EVs, AI-based fleet management, smart vehicle technology, and cybersecurity, all woven together in a cohesive and synergistic ecosystem.

●Sime Darby Auto Kia announced that the Kia Inspiration Day will be held on 11th December, which is scheduled to reveal the Kia EV9 for the first time.

●Grandwell Motors revealed the first-ever pure electric vehicle of Rolls-Royce – the Spectre, and the base MSRP is NT$ 22,680,000, and the MSRP with Taiwan Exclusive Package (NT$ 2,246,000) starts from NT$ 24,926,000.

●EVALUE introduced charing services including the plug & charge, inductive charging, and intelligent parking barrier.

●Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely) and NIO Holding (NIO) signed a strategic partnership agreement on battery swapping. Both parties agreed to carry out comprehensive cooperation on battery standards, battery swapping technology, battery swapping network expansion and operation, swappable model development, and battery asset management.

●Tesla began the delivery of the Cybertruck, and its official webpage in Taiwan went online.

1st December 2023

●Honda Taiwan introduced the Honda Connect advanced intelligent connection system that is equipped in every Honda Civic e:HEV.

●Volkswagen Taiwan introduced the MY2024 Volkswagen Polo, and the trim levels and the starting MSRPs are the 230 TSI Life (NT$ 868,000), the 230 TSI Tech (NT$ 958,000), the 230 TSI Style (NT$ 988,000), and the 230 TSI R-Line (NT$ 1,028,000).

●Volkswagen Taiwan introduced the MY2024 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace, and the trim levels and the starting MSRPs are the 330 TSI Elegance (NT$ 1,688,000) and the 330 TSI Elegance Premium (NT$ 1,788,000).

●Volkswagen Taiwan introduced the MY2024 Volkswagen Touran that offers just one trim level – the 280 TSI Elegance, and the MSRP starts from NT$ 1,398,000.
