"Weekly car news " is a recap of some of the major stories in Taiwan car market last week.

20th November 2023

●Foxtron had been listed on Taiwan Innovation Board.

●Young Liu, the CEO of Foxconn, pointed out that Foxtron will deliver Luxgen n⁷ by mid-2024, and it received more than 9,000 orders.

21st November 2023

●Foxtron held the stockholder conference, and announced that the series production of the Foxtron Model B will begin from Q4 2024.

●Mobiletron pointed out that its investments on new electric bus manufacturing plants overseas has been planned – 2025 in US, and 2027 in Japan. The new US plant will be cooperated with Optimal, scheduling to begin the series production of electric buses from 2026; the new Japan plant will be cooperated with enterprises including Sumitomo.

●TECO pointed out that its domestic electric bus had received 500 orders this year, and it has been delivered for 200 units, plus it’s predicted to deliver 700 units in 2024.

●Stellantis N.V. and CATL signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the local supply of LFP battery cells and modules to power Stellantis’ electric vehicle production in Europe. To further support Stellantis’ aggressive electrification strategy, the two companies are considering the possibility to form a joint venture with equivalent contributions.

●Modena Motori Taiwan revealed the Ferrari Roma Spider, and the MSRP starts from NT$ 13,530,000.

23rd November 2023

●Pan German Motor introduced the all-new BMW i5, and the trim levels and the starting MSRPs are the i5 eDrive40 M Sport (NT$ 3,290,000), and the i5 M60 xDrive (NT$ 4,850,000).

●Pan German Motor foretold that the all-new redesigned BMW 5 Series will go on sale in December this year, and the i5 Touring will be revealed in 2024.

●Yulon and Yulon Finance Corporation announced to sell Yulon Motor Finance (China) to BAIC group for 1.31 billion RMB (NT$ 5.79 billion).

24th November 2023

●Porsche Taiwan announced that the trim levels and the starting MSRPs of the all-new 3rd generation Porsche Panamera will be the Panamera (NT$ 5,740,000), the Panamera 4 (NT$ 5,960,000), and the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid (NT$ 11,730,000).

●The autonomous driving bus operating between Taichung Public Library Daan Branch and Taichung Port Tourist Service Center is scheduled to begin the open scenario test from December, and targeting to be opened to the public for free of charge passenger-carrying in March 2024.

●Nissan announced to invest an additional maximum 2 billion GBP for its electric vehicle business in UK.
