●Xiaomi enters the BEV industry by two ways, which are to begin OEM by BAIC, and to acquire the Beijing Hyundai’s second factory then get the approval of manufacturing cars to begin mass production from 2024.
●Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk hoped that the development of fully-autonomous driving will be completed by the end of this year for the upcoming introduction in USA or even the European market.
●Honda ad LG Energy Solution jointly announced that they will invest 4.4 billion USD to build Lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant in USA, and it’s scheduled to begin mass production from the end of 2025, and the annual production capacity is predicted to be 40GWh.

●USA passed the Inflation Reduction Act in August, which excludes BEV manufacturers from Europe and South Korea from the tax incentives program. These companies threatened to file a lawsuit to WTO, which might provoke a new trade war.
●Porsche Taiwan introduced the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, and the MSRP starts from NT$7,200,000.

●Pan German Motor held the exhibition of BMW M 50 Years Anniversary, and introduced the M8 and the iX M60, and the trim levels and starting MSRPs of M8 are M8 Coupé (NT$ 9,270,000), M8 Gran Coupé (NT$ 9,370,000), and the starting MSRP of the iX M60 is NT$ 6,200,000.

●Nan Yang Industries introduced the MY2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the MSRP of EV400 starts from NT$ 1,519,000, and the EV600 has been upgraded with 77.4kWh battery and added the V2L in-car power supply system, and the trim levels and starting MSRPs of EV600 are EV600 (NT$ 1,899,000) and EV600 Performance (NT$ 2,099,000).

●VicOne, the automotive cyber security company of Trend Micro, cooperated with Delta Electronics to implement the VicOne In-Vehicle Security (IDPS) in the DeltaGrid, charging infrastructure solution of Delta Electronics, to ensure the safety of BEV charging ports and the data transferring of the energy management platforms.

●The new cars sales report of August has been revealed, and the total registration number is 34,416 units, which drops by 9.9% compared to last month.
●Luxgen began the pre-ordering campaign of n⁷ pure electric SUV, which is scheduled to begin delivery in H2 of 2023 at the earliest time, and it represents that the whole-vehicle industry of BEVs officially begins in Taiwan.

●Audi Taiwan introduced the MY2023 A7 Sportback, and the trim levels and starting MSRPs are 45 TFSI quattro “享馭版” (NT$ 3,680,000) and 55 TFSI quattro S line “運動版” (NT$ 4,080,000).

●Mercedes-Benz Taiwan introduced the 7th generation Mercedes-AMG SL 55 4MATIC+, and the MSRP starts from NT$ 9,250,000.
